- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I went here to make a pre-paid funeral plan. I sat down with the funeral director or insurance sales man (whatever he was.) I told him, "I have Boarderline Personality Disorder and my sister doesn't want to pay for a funeral." He was trying not to laugh at the hint that I might kill myself. We had a good long conversation about what I want and what I can afford. We looked at urns. He put me on a 10 year payment plan and walked me across the street to the bank to get my checking account number. A couple weeks later I did the math and figured out that in 10 years I was going to pay a thousand dollars more than what I agreed to pay. I called the insurance company and they told me, "That's why we don't recommend that people choose the 10 year payment plan because it does cost more." I said, "He didn't tell me that." They said, "He should of told you that." We had to change my plan to a 5 year plan and increase my monthly payments. If you go to this funeral home to make a funeral plan, take a calculator with you and a social worker or someone to watch out for you.By Melissa Yates, July 14, 2017
